Peacefully at the Sunnybrook Veteran’s Hospital in Toronto on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in his 96th year. Beloved husband of the late Rosamond Isabella Louise (Bunty) Jewitt (nee Roberts). Dear father to Kenneth (late Jean) Jewitt of Thornhill and Brian Jewitt (Karen Carter) of Orillia. Loving grandfather to Christopher, Jeffrey, Brandon and Eryn. Great grandfather to Mason and Liam Jewitt. Beloved brother to Mildred Bartlett of Tonkin, Saskatchewan. In keeping with Mr. Jewitt’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A gathering for family and friends to celebrate Lorne’s life will be held at the Bala United Church on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 11 a.m. If so desired, donations in Lorne’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
