The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of R. Dursley can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Kenneth and Barbara Bagnell
Condolence: We'll be thinking of you and remembering Ken's friend Barry whose photo of Ken is on the jacket of The Little Immigrants. It always reminds me of his generous spirit and calm gentlemanly ways. I don't think I ever heard an angry word from Barry. Truly. He lives on in our memory. Ken and Barbara.

Condolence: Dear Cynthia Steve Emily and families:
I always looked at Barry as such a wonderful man. He looked quite a bit like my own father who, like Barry was afflicted with the dementia that eventually took him. Be proud of the husband and father you loved. He was a terrific man from a great family. We won't soon forget him.
Thinking of you on this day.
Hugs
Pam

Condolence: Dear Cynthia. Life brings many unexpected events and happenings. Who would know that our planned visit together here in Five Islands would be met with the sadness of Barry's death. Our hearts are full of compassionate embrace for you and your family our dear friend. You both were like family to us while in ministry at Leaside and we shall always remember the creative artistic gifts that Barry expressed so beautifully. He was one of the gentle, kind and spirited souls who blessed so many and we were privileged to have been in the circle of life with him for the Leaside days. He will be so deeply missed by church and community and of course by you his family. Please know that we shall keep you in our prayers especially tomorrow as your celebrate his life. We send our love....

Condolence: My heart goes out to you, Cynthia and your family, it was nice to see Barrys sons and daughters as well as yourself, Cynthia come to the nursing home to thank us for caring for Barry but you must know that Barry was a real gentleman to look after and we thank you for letting us care for him. At times his smile and frowns would make us laugh with him. We all grew to like Barry and it was a great pleasure and honour to know him. Some of the other residents, his tablemates would like to send their condolences.
