Obituary for Mary Doreen Finnie (Marshall)
IIt is with great sadness that the Finnie family announces the sudden by peaceful passing of Mary Doreen Finnie at her summer home in Gravenhurst, Muskoka on Sunday, May 7, 2017 with her beloved husband Edwin by her side. Mary Doreen Finnie (nee Marshall) in her 90th year. Beloved wife of 66 years to Edwin Kenneth Finnie of Etobicoke and Gravenhurst. Mary will be deeply missed by her adoring children Victoria Patrick (Bruce) of Gravenhurst, David Finnie (Marilyn) of Vancouver, B.C. Lawrence Finnie (Monica Rok) of Mississauga, and John Finnie (Mila) of Guelph. Beloved sister to Jessie Pfaff of London, On., Betty Mullin of Stratford, Edith Biggs of Brantford and William Marshall (Suzanne) of Toronto. Mary was predeceased by her brother Ian Marshall. Much loved grandmother to Andrew Patrick (Jennifer), William Patrick (Brooklynn Pawlick), Geoffrey Finnie (Natalie Guennel), Gillian Finnie, Colin Finnie, Jessica Finnie (Yaosen Tian), Robyn Finnie, Matthew Rok and Nikki Rok, Alexandra Finnie (Ryan Taylor) and Marysa Finnie. Great grandmother to Maliyah and Addison Taylor.
In keeping with Mary’s request, cremation has taken place. A gathering to celebrate Mary’s life will be held in the near future. In lieu of flowers, donations to Western University, 1151 Richmond Street, London, Ont.
