After many health challenges, Michael Dalton Ovens passed away peacefully at the Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare, Huntsville Site on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Michael Dalton Ovens in his 74th year. Survived by his beloved wife of 46 years Brenda Rose Ovens (nee Sullivan) of Gravenhurst. Much loved father to Debra Branch (Randy Conway) of Bracebridge, Laura Austin of Bracebridge and Brent Ovens (Sandra Lappan-Ovens) of Carleton Place. Beloved brother to John Ovens (Elsa) of Victoria, B.C., and Sharon Harrison of Smiley, Saskatchewan. Michael was the proud grandfather to Jessica, Julia, James, Libby, Kirby, John and Brittany. In keeping with Mr. Ovens’ wishes, cremation has taken place.
A gathering for family and friends to share memories will be held at the
Cavill-Turner Funeral Home in Gravenhurst on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.
with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 1:30 p. m.
In memory of Michael, donations to the Diabetes Association or to the Georgian Bay Lung
