Condolence From: Barrie & Nancy Brown
Condolence: Dear Audrey

We still remember the day at Probus when we met the second Fred Brown in our lives (the other being Barrie's father) and what a charming and pleasant man he was with that wonderfully resonant "radio announcer's voice". It wasn't long until we became good friends with you and Fred enjoying many gatherings together - always discussing interesting topics, enjoying great food and wine and always enjoying heartfelt laughter that only true friendship brings.

We remember well the evening when we were gathered together with mutual friends in Hilton Head celebrating Fred's heart transplant, none of us knowing the very difficult road that would lay ahead for him and for you. We will miss Fred but hope that you will remain in contact and within the extended circle of friends here in Gravenhurst.

Please accept our heart felt condolences to you and your family.

Love,
Barrie & Nan

We were very sorry to hear about Fred. He had many professional accomplishments in his business career but his first priority was always his family. We know that you will have many fond memories of good times together and hope these will help sustain all of you in this difficult and sad time.

Condolence: It has been many years since I have talked to Fred. We had many great moments while working at various times during our IBM careers. In reading the announcement of his passing many of those good times came back. He was a very good man and we enjoyed each others company. Audrey, please accept our condolences at this time of your great loss.

Condolence: Dear Audrey & the Brown Family:
My sincere condolences on Fred's passing. I joined Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity at UofT in the same year in which Fred was president. He was an excellent mentor, and his leadership skills were already evident. We continued to see him in recent years at fraternity reunion lunches; he will be missed.

Condolence: Dear Audrey,
It was a chock to receive news of Fred's death. I remember fondly working with him at school projects at U of T. We continued our friendship with frequent lunches over the years when we talked about common business interests and news of the family. What pride he had for the changes you and him made to your idyllic residence.
I am joined by Bruna in extending to you our heartfelt sympathies. We will not be able to attend the funeral but our thoughts are and will be with you and the whole family. Ian

Condolence: Dear Audrey; It was with extreme sorrow that I read of Fred's passing in today's Globe and Mail. As a fraternity brother and fellow U of T engineer, I held Fred in great respect. Unfortunately the passage of time and the vagaries of our life paths had almost completely severed any contact with each other. Besides all the memorable days as fraternity brothers, I have fond memories of the Brown family's all too brief sojourn in Vancouver in the early 1970s. My sympathies go out to you and the family.
